All of the beginners courses are taught on the salza, the selection of section is done by the instructor. The level of difficulty rises from day to day to ensure a maximum of improvement of your skills. We try to teach the roll right in the beginning of the course as a reducer of fear and to provide a relief on the river when going on more difficult levels of white water.
However it can be that teaching the roll might not be possible in the beginning due to the water conditions, but in that case the roll is taught later on in the week.
In our school there are exclusively certified kajak instructors teaching to ensure a maximum of safety, fun and learning.
Following goals are included in every beginners course from Liquid-Lifestyle:
- Introduction
- Getting to know the material (equipment, kajak, paddle, safety-equipment)
- Subjective and objective dangers and how to avoid them
- Evaluation of the level of difficulty
- Forward Stroke
- Round Stroke
- Reverse Stroke
- Low paddle praise
- Finding and Entering Eddies in Whitewater Level 1 and 2.
- ROLL
- Correct evaluation of potential dangerspots as well as correct positioning of safety guards and throwbag-tossing
- Knots 101 and learning how to use a pulley for the potential need of kajak recovery
The course prices do not include any equipment. For the equipment you would need to pay extra €25,- per day.
